Fees and Cost of information under RTI Act, 2005

(1)
|
For obtaining information from the designated CPIO by any person one can send his/her application(s) along with the prescribed fees and costs payable, for seeking information under the Right to Information Act, 2005 as mentioned below.

(a)
|
Request for information under sub-section 1 of section 6 of RTI Act 2005 shall be accompanied by an application fee of 10/- (Rupees Ten) only by way of Demand Draft (DD) or Bankers cheque issued by any recognized bank in India or Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favour of "PFA, Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bangalore" payable at Yelahanka, Bangalore or RTI fee receipt against cash payment or by electronic means.
The envelope containing the application and fee shall be sent to the CPIO clearly mentioning on the envelope "Information under RTI Act, 2005" in the following address: "Central Public Information Officer & Law Officer, Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bangalore 560064".

(b)
|
For providing information under sub-section 1 of section 7 of RTI Act 2005, the fee shall be charged by way of a demand draft or Bankers cheque issued by any recognized bank in India or Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favour of "PFA, Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bangalore" payable at Yelahanka, Bangalore or RTI fee receipt against cash payment or by electronic means at the following rates :-

(I)

2/- (Rupees Two) only for each page (in A4 or A3 size paper) created or copied.
|
|
(ii)
|
Actual charge or cost price of a copy in larger size paper.
|
|
(iii)
|
Actual cost or price for samples or models.
|
|
(iv)
|
For inspection of records, no fee for the first hour and the fee of `5/- (Rupees Five) only for each subsequent hour (or fraction thereof).

(c)
|
For providing the information under sub-section 5 of section 7 of RTI Act 2005, the fee shall be charged by way of a demand draftor Bankers cheque issued by any recognized bank in India or Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favour of "PFA, Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bangalore" payable at Yelahanka, Bangalore or RTI fee receipt against cash payment or by electronic means at the following rates :-

For information provided in diskette or floppy 50/- (Rupees Fifty) only per diskette or floppy.
|
|
(ii)
|
For information provided in printed form at the price fixed for such publication or 2/- (Rupees Two) only per page of photocopy for extracts from the publication.

RTI Applicants who are aggrieved by the decision of the CPIO may prefer First Appeal to : "First Appellate Authority & Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer/Planning, Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bangalore 560064".
RTI requests and First Appeals can be preferred online through "rtionline.gov.in" as well.
